Does the whole house need rewiring?
Not always. Knob-and-tube, cloth cable that crumbles, aluminum branch circuits and two-prong outlets throughout are the hazards. We look at what is actually in the walls and tell you whether it is all of it, some of it, or a targeted repair.

The honest middle ground
Rewire the kitchen, the baths, the panel and the circuits that carry real load. Leave a sound lighting circuit in a bedroom alone. Insurers increasingly want knob-and-tube gone entirely; if yours does, that settles it. Either way we walk the house with you and lay out exactly that plan.
What it does to the house
Cable gets fished from the attic and basement with small access holes where there is no other route. It is not a gut renovation, but it is a few days of an electrician in every room. If you are already renovating, that is the time: open walls make it faster and cheaper.
